Heritage Timeline
Founded in 1821, Yamato Syuzou Co., Ltd. began as a sake brewery. With over two centuries of legacy, it now produces world-class whisky using its unique shochu techniques and the pure waters of Kumamoto’s Mount Aso.
Craftsmanship Process
Every drop of whisky is made using pristine underground water from the Aso mountain range. Using proprietary fermentation and distillation practices, our products are aged in white oak barrels, resulting in complexity, smoothness, and depth.
